Investing in the future of your dairy means looking after your calves. Getting your calves off to a good start is essential to get them on track for a productive life. Inadequate nutrition in the early stages reduces the calf’s potential for meeting growth targets and her development into a successful dairy cow. We have a range of calf products suitable from a few days old through to entering the dairy.
The following protein balancers have been designed for you to be able to create calf blends utilising on farm cereal grain supplies but will deliver essential proteins, minerals and vitamins to give your calves a great start.
Our Intake Limiting System (ILS) feeds have been designed to regulate grain intake of growing heifers utilising low labour inputs. With ILS cattle tend to snack rather than having larger meals. This reduces the likelihood of grain poisoning/acidosis.
Dairy Lead Feeds
At Meningie Fodder we understand the importance of good transition management and feeding. Our transition blends or ‘Lead Feeds’ utilise up to date research to deliver a product that when used correctly will reduce the incidence of Milk Fever, Ketosis, Retained Placenta and other metabolic diseases.
